>Interviewing and Publishing Details
When the Interviewee (herein referred to as ‘you’) and Local Open Mic (herein referred to
as ‘we’) have agreed to an interview, the process will proceed in the following order,
approximately speaking:
1.
We prefer to have an largely unscripted show. If there are subjects you would like
to cover be sure to let the host know in advance, conversely, mention areas you’d
rather not go into.
2.
We will schedule a time for the interview. Interviews will usually be done via video
service, cell phone or Internet call. We don’t use video at this time but it’s nice to
see each other while we talk.
3.
At the time of the interview if you have a recording device available to you
(handheld recorder, computer with mic, etc) available to you, we will ask that
you record your side of the interview and send it to us to use in the edited
interview. This will greatly increase the quality of your audio. It is fine to not have
those things, the interview will continue using cell phone or Internet call.
4.
During the interview you should feel free to request another ‘take’ on an answer
you give if you do not like how it turned out. We will edit out the earlier answer.
5.
Once the interview is complete, please send us your side of the audio if you have it
recorded.
6.
We will edit the interview per our standards. At our discretion we may edit out
portions of the interview for clarity or running time.
7.
We need a photo for use on the thumbnail we create for the podcast. If you don’t
have one available we can proceed without it.
8.
We will notify you when the podcast is published
9.
Any additonal edits to either the podcast or thumbnail remain solely at our
discretion.
